About Randy
Randy is a Houston-based management professional with over 25 years experience.
He has developed leadership and managed change for numerous Fortune 500
companies since founding Ransleben Consulting Services in 1992.
From 1979 – 1992 he was a Human Resource executive at Foley’s Department Stores, a
Division of the May Company. Positions included Divisional Vice-President of
Executive Recruiting and Placement, and Director of Training and Development.
While at Foley’s, Randy learned first-hand the challenges of managing
significant change as Foley’s experienced both mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to Foley’s, Randy worked at the University of Texas at Austin in the
Student Affairs Division.
Randy graduated from Ohio State University in 1977 with a Masters of Education
in Student Personnel Work. He received a Bachelors of Arts/Teaching
Certification from Lamar University in 1975.
The Houston Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development has
recognized Randy with several awards, including Trainer of the Year, Mentor of
the Year, and Outstanding Member.
Randy lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife Kathleen and daughter Rachel.
